After holding your permit for 6 months, pass the Kentucky road skills test to move to an intermediate license.
Receive your intermediate license at 16. You may not drive between midnight and 6 a.m. and may carry no more than one passenger under 20 (unless supervised by a driving instructor), with limited exceptions.
After holding your intermediate license for at least 6 months with a clean record — or at 17 — receive your full, unrestricted Kentucky driver license.
