At 15, pass the Missouri DOR knowledge test — 25 questions, 80% to pass (20 correct) — plus the road sign and vision tests to receive your instruction permit. A parent, grandparent, or qualified driving instructor must verify your supervised driving.
Hold your instruction permit for at least 6 months and log 40 hours of supervised driving — including 10 hours at night — with a qualified person, grandparent, or qualified driving instructor.
After holding your permit for 6 months, pass the driving test to receive your intermediate license at 16. You may not drive between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. and may carry no more than one passenger under 19 for the first 6 months (no more than three thereafter).
After holding your intermediate license with a clean driving record, receive your full, unrestricted Missouri driver license at 18.
